Sunrise through the smog in Beijing/早安北京

So great how the light plays in the different layers. Stunning!

Taking from Fragrant Hill at 6:30 AM in Beijing. The haze is probably due to pollution，in winter, there are so many Beijing residents coal for heating that definitely polluted nature environment. In addition, Beijing has more than three million vehicles but, however, the city is well posed for the upcoming Olympic.

This is awesome. Save our nature, for sure... But the haze or polluted air breaks and spreads the light in a beautiful way. This is very big contradiction and hard to stay. The shot is amazing!!

i'm can hardly defend China's pollution situation, as it does have a serious problem, but the haze is not only pollution, much of it is natural climate. imagine Chinese watercolour paintings without mist and haze...here you have replaced the rock pinnacles and pine trees for glass towers and TV masts...

Your photo is perfect, it's even better that it's set in Beijing. I'd only be using the top third of your photo (the sky part).
