It's Chrom-e, It's Chrom-e

It's Chrom-e, It's Chrom-e

It's Chrome-o-o-o-O-o.

AH. Saw Chromeo last night at Cain's Ballroom. I've waited a very long time for that moment, and it was great. Great great great.

Chromeo puts on an inexplainable dope show: confetti, lights, dance, high energy. Just the works.

Already counting down the unknown number of days until I can see them again.

ffffancy ffffootwork.

love, it seems like only yesterday

love, it seems like only yesterday

A little while ago I ordered film cells (something I know nothing about) and they came in the mail today. And I was (am) so excited.

This is just one of 50 I got of Robin Hood. I also got some from All Dogs Go to Heaven, The Lion King, The Land Before Time, 101 Dalmatians, and Ducktales: The Movie. The sender also threw in some from Princess and the Frog, which I am totally thankful of because I love that movie and debated ordering some.

Sometimes I think people probably think I'm crazy for being so into animated movies, but they're just unexplainably gorgeous. As I poured over the ADGTH film cells, I was just amazed. The richness in the color, the depth and details of the scenery... and it is all very visible in this tiny film cell! The art of 2D animation is one I desperately miss and will always cherish over 3D animation (that's an art of its own, just one I don't love as much.)

Anyways. Excuse my babbling.

Does anyone have experience with film cells/how to handle them? Or any other helpful information?

new eyes

new eyes

"the real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes."
- Marcel Proust

I just bought this stationery and really wanted to put it to use.

I think the quote is really wise. So many times I think we find new life primarily in new locations, new scenery, but it's amazing how everything can change when almost nothing changes at all. You just have to look at things differently and the world you once knew becomes an entirely new one.

Interesting.
