Inside a Half-Finished Compass Points

Inside a Half-Finished Compass Points by Seb Przd.
Panorama taken from the inside of George Hart's half-finished Compass Points. The sculpture is "only" 130cm (52 inches) across and I had to wiggle through to get the tripod, panoramic head, and camera in there.

Equirectangular panorama.

Technical details: Nikon D200, 10.5mm, Manfrotto 055 PROB, Nodal Ninja 3: 10 shots (8 portrait, 1 zenith and 1 hand-held nadir). Stitched with hugin and enblend (view the EXIF data). Original size: 10000x5000.

The interactive viewer allows an immersive experience (needs Shockwave). Also viewable in Flash at ViewAT.org

Very nice! From the thumbnail I thought it was one of your pov-rayed "inside a penta-octa-thing-edron". :)

Cool. Quite a bit more intricate than my 'inside a cube':

This helps understanding the subject, and the difficulty to manage it. Great shot, still!

Wow, that's is a situation where you really want to make sure you're rotating at the exact nodal point, or forget about a good stitch. Nice job.
