Cut and Fold

... or how to project a panorama unto a square so that it can be folded into a cube, without scissors or glue.


For folding instruction, you can refer to the small drawing that has the folds (mountain or valley) or you can check this page that has more detailed instructions. I also have a page showing how to build them with pictures.


For this origami I was completely inspired by Carlos Furuti and his page on foldable projections.


This is a conformal projection of the cube, the original panorama is one of the first equirectangular panoramas I shot.
