Kyle XY was a guilty pleasure show for me but I saw and enjoyed every episode. I am getting sick and tired of shows being cancelled without getting a proper send off, especially from abc (Pushing Daisies, Eli Stone). I would be thrilled if there was one more Kyle XY episode/movie to allow the show to wrap up properly. After 3 great years, I think those involved with the show deserve a chance to finish it the way they want. Come on abc!

For my money, ABC Family's programming really offers very little for the "family". At least Kyle XY gave teens and adults a show they both could enjoy together. I'd say that by not renewing Kyle, ABC Family will lose more viewers than they can probably afford. Don't be suprised if they do a reversal and bring the show back, at least as a movie or shortened season to tie up all the loose ends. If they don't, boycott them and all their shows, and throw your support behind any network that shows an interest in picking up the show.

As far as I'm concerned, the only way ABC Family can redeem itself is by admitting what a huge mistake they've made and giving us a proper 4th season. However, since hell isn't likely to freeze over anytime soon, I'm hoping another network will take notice of our mounting "Save the Tub campaign." Surely there's a forward-thinking executive out there who will recognize what a gem KXY is and appreciate its millions of loyal fans around the globe. One way or another, we've simply got to get this incredible show back on the air where it belongs!

I refuse to watch anymore shows on ABC. What a horrible way to treat loyal fans after all these seasons. Network deserves to be boycotted.

First Middleman and now Kyle. I know Kyle was nothing like the great Middleman but I enjoyed Kyle alot and now with both gone, there is no reason to watch ABC Family.

Also except for LOST, ABC lost me when they cancelled Eli and Pushing Daisies. So both of them have lost me as a viewer now.

I can't believe that ABC Family is ending this series like this. No closure what so ever for the devoted fans that have watched this show from day one. Kyle XY made ABC Family a household word. Now they toss out a quality show because of lower ratings which was ABCF's fault as they didn't promote the show! We have people joining kylexy.net every day that did not know the show had come back and now they find it is cancelled. Way to go ABC Family. And that blog today about Kyle XY going on and "extended vacation", what the heck is that all about???

Help us move Kyle XY to a network that will treat it the way it deserves to be treated. Help with the letter writing campaign to save the show at:

Stephen Trager

Stephen Trager

Before Season 1
Stephen lost his virginity to Ashley Gerad when he wasn't much older than Stephen Trager Jr. He told Nicole about it during their honeymoon after drinking ten shots of tequila.

Stephen and his father William never saw eye-to-eye so Stephen refused to marry Nicole at St. Augustine. Stephen wrote William a letter in hopes that he would still want to be a part of the family, but refused.

Season 1
Stephen stood by his wife Nicole when he found out that she was going to bring Kyle back from the detention center. He later came to side with Stephen Trager Jr and Rachael Trager after Nicole refused to return him to Camp Copevete. Stephen was in his workshop working on a computer for a friend named Tim and spilled his coffee on it. Stephen agreed to let Kyle stay after he remembered the binary code and brought the files back on another computer.

After finding out that Kyle hadn't sleep in the entire week that he had been living with the Tragers, he decided to take Kyle jogging with him to tire him out. The jogging didn't work. Kyle was apparently immune to fatigue. Stephen suggested to sedate him at the hospital, but was relieved to see that he slept soundly in the bathtub.

Later, Stephen compared Kyle to Rip Van Winkle upon seeing he wouldn't wake up. Stephen later decided to get another bathtub and move it to his workshop, which worked as Kyle's room. Meanwhile, Stephen took Kyle to his job, where he insisted on telling the employees about being let go. Eventually his boss Brad let him.

Season 2
Stephen and Nicole took a mini-vacation to San Francisco, where Stephen Trager Jr and Rachael Trager threw a party in their absence. They returned and were delighted to see Kyle back in their home.

Stephen and Nicole spoke with Brian Taylor who was masquerading as the Peterson's lawyer. He told them that they dies in a car accident earlier that week. Stephen tried to help Kyle through the ordeal.

Stephen was dismayed when he got a call from his company. LWK Software was bought out by a big conglomerate and he was now out of a job. He tried to keep it hidden from his family, but it was too hard. He felt bad that he couldn't buy Josh a new car, but managed to get him a junker.

Stephen continued to look for a job and finally found one: Madacorp. He shook hands with Ballantine and promised to be a great employee. He later met Emily Hollander, and told her that her patient Jessi's sister worked at Madacorp.

Later, the family received a call from Dr. Kheel. Stephen's father William had a stroke and was going to die. Through Kyle, William managed to pass mental messages and Stephen finally managed to figure out that William was apologizing for not being part of his family. Stephen thanked Kyle.

Later, Stephen, along with Ballantine, gave Kyle a tour of Madacorp unknowingly giving him the floor plan with which to later infiltrate to steal Ballantine's ring. Meanwhile, Lori suspected Stephen of having an affair with Emily Hollander, but Stephen assured her that nothing was going on.

Stephen was called into to work to test the CIR on Tom Foss while he was at a Cancer Charity event. He called Nicole to ask her how long it took to get a test group and also told her that Emily was working there as well. Nicole was disappointed.

Later, Stephen was purposely being kept away from CIR by Emily so he would see Tom Foss strapped to it. He promised to go home and forget about it, but he snuck inside later anyways. While inside, he overheard a conversation between Tom Foss and Brian Taylor about Zzyzx, Adam Baylin, and Foss' past before Foss began to strangle Brian. Stephen went home immediately and told Nicole he knew something important about Kyle just as she said the same thing.

After learning everything about Kyle from him and Tom Foss, he and Kyle concocted a plan to destroy all of Madacorp's software. He would connect CIR to the rest of the building manually, as CIR was separate from the rest of the building. Unfortunately, Emily Hollander spotted him and had him moved to a holding room. When the combined power of Kyle and Jessi's power created an energy surge, it broke the glass in the holding room and Stephen was able to fishing connecting the cable, causing a citywide blackout that led right back to Madacorp and Ballantine's illegal activity.

Stephen cleared out his desk at Madacorp despite an offer from Emily Hollander for a pay raise. He was offered another company job, but Nicole pressured him to take a teaching job at the University of Washington since Stephen had always dreamed of being a teacher.

Lori Trager

Lori Trager

Season 1

Along with Josh, Lori was against having Kyle move in. She was even more against in when she was put on babysitter duty. She ignored Kyle and spoke on the phone with Hillary. She said Declan was probably with Jessica and that she felt weird when Mike Suby put his hands down her pants. Kyle snuck out and was reprimanded by her parents. She tried to defend herself by saying at least she didn't leave him with Michael Jackson, but was forbidden from going to Declan's party.

Lori snuck out to Declan's party, but fell unconscious from a combination of over drinking and the police crashing the party. Kyle carried her home after saving her from being arrested, improving Lori's opinion of him somewhat.

Lori and the rest of the family came downstairs in the middle of the night to see Kyle watching a kung fu movie and repeated everything he saw and heard. Lori later went with Hillary take with Declan, but it didn't go as smoothly as Lori had hoped. Lori later shoved Kyle out of her room as she spoke with Declan on the phone.

Lori later tried to sneak out, but Kyle accidentally woke up Nicole and Stephen. Lori met up with Declan at work and told him what happened and made another date with him, which is ruined because her parents were guarding Josh's room.

Later, Lori was charged with taking Kyle to work, but didn't as she had gotten fired. Upon returning home, Lori asked Kyle to lie and say he went with her, but Kyle couldn't take the pressure and told the truth. Lori was upset at first, but later apologized to Kyle.

Season 2

Lori and Declan broke up. Lori practiced playing the guitar to get over Declan and even wrote a song. One night, while Lori took out trash from a dance party, someone knocked her unconscious and took the necklace that Declan had given her. From this incident Lori sustained bruises to her face and scratches to her shoulder.

Lori planned a camping trip where a hunter had been killed to prove she wasn't afraid and discovered the ruins of Zzyzx. She spoke with Amanda about her relationship with Kyle before escaping due to the release of methane gas.

Lori later became suspicious of her father and Emily Hollander after receiving a call from the hotel that mentioned that contact lenses were found in Stephen's room that coincided with Emily losing her contact lenses. Lori spoke with her father who assured her that nothing was going on.

Lori was still cautious with her dad and she got even more suspicious when he had to leave the Cancer Charity event to go to test the CIR on Tom Foss. Lori later discovered from Hillary that it was Jessi who attacked her at the dance.

Lori teamed-up with Hillary to get revenge on Jessi, but Declan managed to calm her down. Still, Lori remained distrustful of Jessi and became angry upon hearing that Kyle and left to find her. She and her family worked on discovering Kyle's confusing past until Declan and Tom Foss came in and told them.

Kyle answered the rest of the family's questions upon returning and made a plan with the Trager adults to create an energy surge to destroy Madacorp's server. The kids would stay downstairs during the Madacorp open house. Declan arrived and Lori convinced him that he needed to let go and said that this day was better that the entire year becuase she finally was comfortable with Declan as a friend.

Lori was angered with Jessi return to school and even more angered with her sudden popularity coming from her two video clips showing her showing off her abilities. She cooperated with Kyle in an attempt to disprove her abilities.

She was later seen with a self-descriptive assignment given to her by the school guidance counselor. She left it aside to help Kyle contact Amanda, who was put in lockdown by her mother Carol Bloom, even setting up The Rack for a romantic date even though she feared Amanda was just puppy love.

Amanda Bloom

Amanda Bloom

Kirsten Prout was born in Vancouver, Canada, and began her career at ten-years-old. She grew up in a household completely removed from the film industry, being the daughter of a neurologist and a child therapist. She credits her early insight into behaviour as a product of her mother's background in therapy. This sensitivity led to a talent for developing characters and story, which manifested itself as a love of film, television and literature. She also enjoyed dance and martial arts, training most extensively in the latter. Met with success at an early age, Kirsten worked locally in Vancouver, guest-starring on shows such as "First Wave" (1998), "Stargate SG-1" (1997), "Cold Squad" (1998) and "The Dead Zone" (2002). Her first sizeable break in film came in 2005 when she landed the part of "Abby Miller", a young martial arts prodigy, alongside Jennifer Garner, in Elektra (2005). Kirsten performed her own stunts and utilized her past training in taekwondo, crediting the experience as one of the most challenging and rewarding of her career. Transitioning from her rebellious character, Kirsten worked on the ABC Family television series "Kyle XY" (2006) as the demure "Amanda Bloom". After the show finished its successful three seasons, Kirsten, always academically inclined, chose to attend McGill University as an English Literature major, furthering her understanding of character, story, and the written word. After returning from Montreal, Kirsten landed Summit's Eclipse, part of the hugely successful Twilight Saga, and the miniseries Seven Deadly Sins.
