Today Reed (allie) and I spontaneously went on a photo shoot. Lovely time indeed. It is always nice to freshen up by getting out. As usual, we were attacked by mosquitoes and covered in sand. It always seems to end up that way with us. But i guess thats all part of the fun while making art… getting messy.
It always feels so wonderful to take a nice long shower at the end of everything anyways, and then get into my comfy shorts and my fiancee’s tee shirt and sit on my computer editing pictures while listening to death cab and other similar artist on my personal pandora station that i created.
As i was driving home today from Reed’s house, i was recognizing something about the Golden Hour that i love so much but never understood before. Its the way that during that time of the day, not only is everything tinted yellow but its also exposed in the most beautiful way that it seems is even possible. The way the light seeps through greenery and bleeds through leaves… showing the veins. The way that everything has a bright glow around it, emanating from its structure. The way the sprinklers in peoples yards seems refreshing and beautiful, and i become so tempted to stop the car and run through it fully clothed, so i can feel the sunlight glimmering on my skin and the water droplets would fall and shine on their way down… oh dear. i am getting all mushy and carried away. but its okay, i love these things about being alive. getting to witness such a pleasant sequence of moments around me, and getting to have my thoughts to accompany them.
