In the summer of 2004, we had a chance to hike from Monterosso to Vernazza. It's a breathtaking hike with unforgettable views of the blue Ligurian Sea below. When we heard the happy Mediterranean music streaming up from below, we knew we had arrived at our destination. This is the view of Vernazza from our hike taken with a Canon point & shoot.
If you're ever in Italy ... you have to make a stop in Cinque Terre. It seems everyone's on a permanent holiday, even the locals. The mood is mellow and easy-going with good food, good drinks, and many many cute cats walking around everywhere. Italian life at its best!

omg i stayed here in randomly February and the people were so awesome ... I loved how people hung out the windows to offer you a room! It was magic, to say the very very least.
