This is Triund.

At 2900 Mts above sea level,
9 kms away from Indrahaar pass, Southern Himalayan Range (Dhauladhar Range).

There is no electricity here but just some solar battery panels. The only food available was Maggi and Rice.

No motorable road from McLeod Gunj to Triund which is 9 kms away and 1200 mts high.

Only 2 sheds which can provide shelter at night other than the tea/snack shaks.

The atmosphere and mood is excellent. The guy in the frame added extra interest (would be nicer to have him walking the other way or looking out). IMHO, one thing does not work for me is the tree being right in the center of the frame, and the building on the right.. Either crop it tighter, or compose it differently.. my $0.02..

Lovely image... and superb colors.
The Himalayan ranges definitely have a lot in store for photographers. I had recently been to Garhwal and was simply stunned by the beauty. It was a 15 day long hike to the Khatling Glacier and we went through a lot of villages without a motorable road and electricity... sometimes not even a shed. That was an amazing expirience. I like those three trees in the centre, the way that the other two are shrouded in fog yet visible just enough that they rather resemble the one clearest, and with the brilliant green of the grass leading up to them, my eye lingers on them considering whether they are some lingering reflective images of that centre tree, the past and future reflecting the passage of time and how they become lost in the fog. Guess that seems kinda profound. Maybe fog does that, especially when it's captured well in a photo, like it is here.
