i saw a fat 'n' mean spam musubi in a japanese supermarket in seattle once, and was extremely intrigued and slightly horrified (in a good way), though obviously not intrigued enough to get one. also, it looked a bit slimy in its cling wrap.

yours are very pretty, and just the idea of salty spam is making my cheeks tingle.

hi hyperbob--find a small can or biscuit cutter, and cut out the meat circle first and set it aside. use the can or cutter as a mold for the rice, then place the meat circle on top of the rice and push down lightly but firmly to level and shape the rice within the ring, then unmold. easy!
