originally submitted to guesswhereboston, where lizziev correctly guessed it as Memorial Hall, on the Harvard University campus.

Selected as the Bostonist Photo of the Day for July 11, 2007!

And featured on the Universalhub today too - with a great title, that I've now appropriated.

(All part of my plan to saturate Boston with images of wierd sandcastles, my cat, and stuff i notice in Harvard Yard puddles...)

Its not Trinity Church nor in Copley Square. The reflected building is not a church at all - it has, arguably, more mundane purposes... (hint #1).

Smacs: I see your point (which I missed initially -sorry!) about rotating it, but I kinda prefer it upside down like this. You're free to download it and see how it looks rightside up, or stand on your head. ;-)

I guess that turning the building upright didn't make it easier to id - so forget the suggestion (I did bend over to see it tho) and I saw the same bug wings in the thumbnail as Steevs... :) it's almost a visual palindrome.

Yep, its yet another photo of Memorial Hall reflected in a puddle. I initially wrote something here teasing myself about liking this spot so much, but I see that nighowlcity has beaten me to the punch. With the sprinklers running today, I couldn't resist extending my lunchbreak to snap a few reflections. I'll have to refrain from submitting any more Memorial Hall shots to guesswhereboston... till your memories get rusty;-)

Its not that I'm vain, but that they featured this one hours before the bostonist - figured they deserve that extra thanks, if belatedly.

Carrie: well, you should join guesswhereboston - its been eerily quiet there lately. i work just down the street in William James Hall, so I pass this building a dozen times a day, and take more photos it than I will admit.
