Zhang Yimou's folk musical: Impression Liu Sanjie is a popular extravaganza performed outdoors in a river and mountain setting with a cast of 600 singers and dancers. The performance takes its inspiration from the folk story about Sanjie Liu, as the general theme, combining classical Sanjie Liu's songs, local culture and fishermen in the production numbers, reflecting the harmony between local people and nature.
