Work-in-progress presentation at Ruang MES 56 prior to the closing of the space. I brought all of my equipment and tests from my studio for display. The set up mimics the natural workflow in my own studio.

I worked with 2 different workflows. The one on the left is making the batik and coloring it prior to printing the cyanotype. The one on the right is printing the cyanotype first before creating the batik.

Covering the printed area with wax

The areas to be printed should be kept white and not touched by the dye. Hence it has to be completely covered with bee-wax.
