peas in a pod my dear
Wellll...you see.. for the last few weeks i have been trying to combine my "Lion*Light*Lamb: The Perpetual Picnic" series with my artwork i have been working on for an Advent themed art show:)
The pocket watch has always been a symbol of time and waiting in my artwork.. being able to see the spin of light and life... but not know when the clock will strike various promises... various joys... various people... Like the people you might consider the peas in your pod.. tride and true... ladeda:)
It is funny how terms of endearment.. such as darlin and dear.. are used while trying to keep contentment :) & usually accompanied by a swish of your hair and a kiss on the forehead.... but sometimes the future comes with sublime grace... and sometimes it is strangled by time and turns into summer dust of soil... where you hope again to grow something better.. more bright...
I can compare this to growing things in general... will it grow... did i screw up again... what did i do wrong. to much water...to little.. . how did my garden become so big goodness gracious..what did i do right:)?
What promise was fulfilled...
With just enough light...and just enough life.... and just enough hope.. growth can happen... a garden can thrive... life will unfold in a lovely floral cotton fashion... yes... gardens might not always work... but just wait... Peas in a pod my dear...lovely peas in a pod:)

Direction Darlin
"Direction Darlin"
I gave you my hand darlin
Just ask and ye shall receive
Now which direction darlin
What touch will make me believe
We may nest ourselves in the meadow
You play the fiddle to the land
I dance to what it will instill
Sway to each note and find
A pathless pasture of gold
Two cotton fates intertwined
“Do not stop playing Darlin”
Whispers said into the dusk
A richer night will abound across our flesh
Nebulas draw closer to our melody of strings
New life kissed upon the curve of necks
Each note giving color to where there was none
The dawn waits on our touch
Ruined empty chests filled
By illuminated steps through gracefully curved
Smiles of opaque perfection… so much
More than our hopes
More than
A human promise
Ramblin heartbeats are now anchored to
A woman’s curve
“Do you love me like this Darlin”
Said while looking at a ruffled white skirt
Slight eyelet pursed against the grass
The need to always grow towards the dirt
His gaze never leaves the slight sway to the vibrato
