Caixa Forum and the Living Wall

Caixa Forum and the Living Wall by sallylondon.
Created by Patrick Blanc, the wall garden is 24 metres high on a vertical wall (460 sq m). It has 15,000 plants from 250 species. It is a wall of plants with no soil but it is fed with water and nutrients.

Fishfix - not this time but we did a couple of weeks ago at the superb exhibition in the Sofia.

Leona, growing up the wall is everything that you would plant in a normal garden! I have been going along every few weeks since it went up and it is amazing to see the growth of all of the plants - now, quite a lot of them are flowering and it is so pretty. A living and changing sculpture!

Hi Brombags1. It is a fake wall with mesh and pockets for the plants to grow in. This one was established 2 years ago ( I think) but he has constructed many more around the world. I have really enjoyed watching the plants mature and grow over the past few years.
