Broken Nokia BH-501 bluetooth headphones

Broken Nokia BH-501 bluetooth headphones by salimfadhley.
These headphones have been damaged through normal use. They are flimsy and somewhat rubbish. If your BH-501 broke in a similar way, please add a comment here and on my blog page dedicated to exposing the fragility of this product: blog.stodge.org/375

The same thing happened with me...and one of my friends too :S
I repaired it:D:D:D

paste the broken pieces, put some glue and a wire inside, rubberize it with a piece of gum and some glue, after that use some adhesive tape (for safety):)
I hope it works.

I feel your pain. Mine broke on the joint, around one of the screws. Now I'm afraid to wear it without totally breaking it, and none of the Nokia stores local to me (in China) can repair it.

same here. Nokia care center reps said that they can only replace the unit for cosmetic or minor damages. i got mine initially replaced. then after less than a week, it too incurred a small crack again. brought it back, but they told me the first replaemet was only as courtesy and could not replace it again. they also told me that for repairs, they only service phone units.

so... whats the use of a warranty and a service center?

I had two of these, both broke at the exact same spot that your photo shows. They were both gently used, but didn't last longer than a year each. I suppose you could fix it with some two-component glue ( the epoxy stuff that takes a couple of days to dry), but since this is obviously a design flaw, I'll try and get a warranty claim from Amazon/Nokia.
