(salian)'s photostream

I managed to get in real close to this guy. He did not at all seem afraid of humans.

I was at a park one day when it occured to me that if a park bench could talk, I bet it would have some awesome series.

Unfortunately, I'm not quite as good as capturing stories from their perspective :P I'm quite dissatisfied with most of my photos.

This guy had the good graces to show himself during a trip to Pulau Tioman in the late afternoon so I could get a nice photo of him in golden sunlight =D

I learned the Manny Librodo sharpening technique and this is the first photo I have applied it to. I like it. I have never really bothered sharpening my photos before, but comparing before and after photos, I can see why I should. (Made the tall grass really pop out)

I also learned how to make a watermark one of my brush presets for easier watermarking - not that I generally watermark my photos, but it was a new thing to learn :) You know, I always wondered why people watermark just their names. Why not watermark contact info? After all, the only people that should really care about watermarks would probably need to contact the photographer, right?

This young Indonesian boy was waiting his turn to play some version of handball/monkey-in-the-middle/dodgeball.

I personally think this photo looks great when viewed large - the boy's face doesn't really come through in this small photo.

(is this photo over-saturated? I keep thinking it is when I see it in this small photo but that it's ok when I see it large. Another reason it should be viewed large)
