We have been working on three projects this year: We have helped start a women cooperative in the town of Tortuga. They are establishing a 8 acre fruit orchard. It is inspiring and heartening. A reforestation project along the rio de La Flor, which flows into one of the most important turtle sanctuaries in Nicaragua. And an arbor day when local people from the surrounding area can come and receive free free fruit and forest trees to plant on their land. They have called their coop "Seeds of Hope."
