We got a nice aurora show in all of Norway last night. Looking forward to more nice displays up ahead as the sun is moving towards its activity maximum sometime during 2013.

Northern lights are light emissions from atomic and molecular Oxygen and Nitrogen in the atmosphere that are being ionized by solar wind particles.

Sometimes it is well worth getting up very early in the morning just to see the sun rise in the mountains. When you get dramatic storm clouds rolling over the majestic peaks and rainbows on top of that, you just can't help being blown away by the sheer beauty that lies in nature.
