GO GET YOUR SHINEBOX

Coming up on the 21st of November, Brooklynite Gallery presents "GO GET YOUR SHINEBOX", an artshow consisting of Survival Boxes created by 100+ artists from all over the world (one of them it's me:P). 20 YEARS

Illustration made for an article in the romanian Esquire Magazine, about Romania after 20 years from the fall of the communist regime. I think you have to be romanian to get all the elements of the illustration: old slow trains, the president of Romania posing with a cowboy hat, gypsy guy playing the accordion, the Palace of the Parliament (People's House), stray dogs barking and biting people in Bucharest, pollution from Copsa Mica, ridiculous TV shows, beautiful mountains, chamois, gangster orthodox priests, etc. Basically a weird mix of beautiful and ugly, communism and capitalism, old and new, etc.

Ride

Painting/drawing on wood, made for this shop in Berlin (Hummel), to be shown (and hopefully sold) in the window of the store, together with other pieces by Peach Beach, Tim Robot, Mike Friedrich and some other dudes I don't remember. If you're in Berlin Mitte, on Alte Schoenhauser Strasse, go check 'em out.
Technique: Acrylics, Spray Paints, Paint Markers, Permanent Markers, Pens - on wood
Oh, and I forgot to mention that if my girlfriend Aitch wouldn't have told me to draw a guy riding another guy, this would've been another zombie head with a cool background. Fortunately it's not, and I'm grateful to my sweet smart H:)
