sarah your creativity and artistic expression
has developed so much throughout this
challenge, you've definitely improved as a
photographer! This is gorgeously soft and so
vulnerable too... lovely.

you are lovely and the photograph is
excellent. i have to agree with what rachel
sian said about your photography..at least in
relation to taking self portraits. a journey
we're all sharing in and hopefully we'll all
learn from over the course of the year!
is that a pashmina?

There is something very classical about this
shot. Have you been spending time looking at
art books for inspiration?

Rachel, thank you so very much. I admire your
self-portraits immensely, so hearing this
from you makes me swell with pride! This
group has really pushed me to learn and
become better, as well as find ways to be
creative. I think I am naturally a pretty
creative person and have an ‘eye’ for things,
but I have a lot to learn.
Thank you Jenni!
San, thank you!
j.lil, thanks!
Logo, thank you…I was digging the fringe,
too. ;-)
Thank you very much Stacy!
Jim, thank you kindly. :D
Jen, thank you sweetheart! I definitely
feel as if I have learned a lot and grown in
so many ways from joining this 365 Group.
As to your question…I am a fashion idiot,
so I’m not sure what a pashmina is, exactly.
It is a broad sheer shawl-like thing to wear
with a nice dress when you need your arms
covered. ;-)
Thank you picaday! My mother has a degree
in art history, as well as being an artist
herself, so while I haven’t been studying
anything in particular for this project, I
would say I’m a definite lover of the fine
arts. ;-)

I love this photo (which is really starting
to go without saying), but I also wanted to
congratulate you because I saw you were the
new group icon! Way to go, Sarah. You rock!

I love so many things about this...the
pose, the fringe on the wrap/blanket. I
especially like the not-really-blank space on
the right. If it was flat white, it would
still be cool (to my untrained eye,
anyway...the composition would still be
really well done)...but the shadows in the
sheets add something extra.

Caitlin, thank you and thanks for the
congrats! I was psyched. ;-)
Thanks TJ! xo
Dave, thank you...I love the creases and
shadows the comforter creates as a backdrop
for this and my last 365 shot. I have to get
a cheap black sheet soon cause I want to put
some hooks into my bedroom ceiling so I can
hang backdrops from it whenever I want. I
have no blank space in my house and the few
walls that might work, it isn't possible to
get the camera far enough away from them
(hallways).

Just finished looking at all of your 365 pics
and I just wanted to say that you do such a
beautiful job on this project. You can see
that you are improving, you are pushing the
envelope of creativity, having fun, but
really letting us see who you are... as a new
365dayer, "HI" and keep up the
great work!
