Forest for the Trees

Forest for the Trees by Sabine Dukes.
View from Eureka Canyon Road, Corralitos, CA

The haze in the background is actually smoke from the fires. The smoke has been acting like a giant diffuser, making high contrast pics like this one, and the one prior, possible.

I have quite a backlog of photos to go through...

Thanks to all my contacts for submiting your photos to Photoblog Favorites. Your photos look amazing

I am recovering well, and may even try to go to work tomorrow.

WOOWW Sabine, what a composition and richness of colors you have here, this is absolutely beautiful, I wish we had at least some hills in S.Florida. Great work.

The fire has had one advantage then...acting as a 'giant diffuser!'

First caught this one on your blog. Although I'm often not a fan of heavily saturated images, I really think this treatment works quite nicely.

Nice - I noticed the smoke from the fires softened the light a bit on a recent trip to sw Colorado
