    This is a fake.
    Copy editors back in the day must have been lax - 'gauranteed'?
    The typesetters and designers must have been lazy too - or that could just be a nice white line where the alternate text was added?

    I don't think any ad agency pre 1960s (as the original surely was) would try to sell anything based on an appeal to parents to ease their child's future social awkwardness, let alone using the word 'sugary'...and now I find myself ridiculous for typing all this...(laboratory tests? really?) if only because a couple of commenters above me seem to think this was genuine.
