Isle of Wight Monopoly (a lensbaby macro)

Yesterday (November 1st 2010) saw the official launch of 'Isle of Wight' edition Monopoly board game, which i was lucky enough to be involved with. It's a great project involving lots of Island businesses and special input from the kids at Oakfield CoE Primary school where the idea originated.

I was one of a few photographers whose work was chosen to illustrate the board, and a selection of my images were used on both the cover and game board itself, and i also have three squares belonging to me in the form of sponsorship for my latest website isleofwightpictures.com/

So its a bit of a double launch for me, as its also the first time i've given the new website a plug, i'd be really pleased if anyone could spare the time to take a look and give me any feedback on the site layout and content. (as the name suggests, its pictures from the isle of wight, does exactly what it says on the packet)

I couldn't make it to the monopoly launch party yesterday but i met up with Simon from Ventnorblog in the evening, who was good enough to bring me along a copy of the game to take a look at.

So of course today I took the opportunity to also try out a bit of a 'product' shoot and add a new string to my photographic bow! I've had a play with various lenses today, trying to create something different than the usual straight on board shots,

This one is shot using my lensbaby macro, and you can see more in a slideshow on the new website here ... isleofwightpictures.com/isle-of-wight-monopoly/

***BTW, I'm not selling the board games, and i'm not selling the pictures, the slideshow is a bit of photographic fun / experiment, and of course the whole thing is shameless self promotion***
