Sunrise at White Rock Cliff
My annual sabbatical to Sugar Knob Cabin in the George Washington National Forest. I made a pre-dawn, moonlit hike from the cabin to White Rock Cliff for sunrise. A wonderful few days in the remote wilderness of Great North Mountain.

Autumn on the Pinnacle
Shenandoah National Park - a short scramble from the Appalachian Trail looking north from The Pinnacle towards Mary's Rock and the Northern District. I joined the masses yesterday in the park but hiked a ways to find a peaceful and secluded outcropping where I could enjoy the scene.
