Run for The Roses
Run for the Roses is Tulsa Boys' Home's biggest fund-raising event each year. It is held in May in conjunction with the Kentucky Derby, and features the races on huge Jumbo-Screen and the ability to bet on the races, great food, and live and silent auctions (including horses!)

The exciting Kentucky Derby themed party and auction, Run for the Roses, opens on the first Saturday each May at the Tulsa Fairgrounds Pavilion building in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Guests enjoy fabulous food, silent and live auctions, and the races simulcast live from Churchill Downs on two enormous TV screens. Most ladies wear elaborate hats and the colorful dresses that are associated with the Kentucky Derby. The men dress in everything from short sleeve Hawaiian shirts to three-piece suits!

The famous Art Deco Pavilion will be decked out with Derby style and aplomb, featuring thousands of beautiful, live, red roses. More than a hundred items are featured at our silent auction, with a dozen or more exciting items for our live auction. As has been true each year, there will be a couple of nice colts auctioned off during our live auction. Guests may place bets at betting booths on all of the Derby races courtesy of the Fair Meadows Racetrack staff.
