Intake lock from the Potomac

This lock brings additional water into the C&O Canal from the Potomac, as needed. It is adjacent to Lock 5.

How old is this lock? The wood makes it look rather old. Either way, how charming!

It's old - over 100 years old, though the current wood (and cement) is likely much, much newer than that.
