Shot just below Low's Peak (summit of Mount Kinabalu - 4,095 m (13,435 ft)) at 6.12am on the morning of our wedding anniversary. I should note, that you can't see Low's Peak as it is behind me.
Was getting up before 2am to hit the summit worth it?
I think the answer to that lies in these shots - even if I did feel the nasty effects of altitude sickness, and then had a slip and small fall on the way down which led to me hobbling out on my walking poles at a snail's pace.
The summit was now starting to get very crowded as more and more people hit the top, so this is shot just off the top.
For the technical stuff:
Five shots, bracketed at ±2, ±1 and 0. Blended with Photomatix, some moving people edited and general cleansing in PS2 and finished in Lightroom.
Exposure: 1/50 sec at f/4.5
Focal length: 10mm

Yes, it was worth hauling my kit up there. I'm glad it survived the moisture it was subjected to!
