"Wisconsin is again considering a Sandhill Crane hunt. Part of the reason is population control and crop damage. This hunt would probably take place in the fall when the Sandhills are migrating. So when the families are taking their first year young who have never migrated before down south - most of them through Jasper Pulaski and on down they risk getting shot and killed. Please write the congressmen of Wisconsin and let them know how you feel about this. There must be another way to protect crops besides killing the oldest living bird species on earth.
