Bald Eagle female incubating 2-20111216

It appears that the Bald Eagles in our neighborhood have begun incubating. We presume that the first egg was laid on Sunday, December 11, based upon the change in behavior, as the female was seen sitting low on the nest. The day before, I saw her roosting near the nest. Today she was sitting so low that I thought the nest was empty. It was only after about 15 minutes of observation that I saw her stand up, turn about 180 degrees, and appear to be tending to something under her-- presume she was turning the eggs. Visit
