Taken from my room in the NH Dolen hotel.

Inspired whilst watching Stargazing LIVE on the BBC, and with a clear sky over Manchester for once, I finally managed a startrail looking North from my apartment.

There's a lot of light pollution and usually there is so much haze that they don't come out very well. I'd have liked this to be better, but it'll do.

I looked at my photostream and realised I have only posted four photos that were taken in 2011. Here is the fifth.

This was taken during a work trip to Amsterdam in October/November.

I'm going to make more time for photography in 2012. I'm also going to try and go back through the archive of 2011's shots and post some of the ones that are sitting on my hard drive.

Tower painted with a few blasts of Canon 580EXII @ 1/16. Some foreground painted inadvertently by an unexpected trio of Range Rovers that appeared on the hill!
