i do see attention spans dropping in the teens i interact w/, mine and their friends - but i also see multitasking and focused attention skills that most of our generation doesn't possess - things change, not always for the worse...

btw - ebooks & audiobooks (such as via podiobooks.com) is progressing well, being literate can also be gained via listening or reading bits not just reading on pulp...
