Although she had managed to master walking along down the - whats that word again - street, crossing the road was a different story for Ariel.

BIG ACCIDENT

Part of my new Behind the Scenes, Fairytales series.

The most embarrassing photoshoot EVER. Never again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok so I just got back from work so I can finish the description, this was AWFUL. I had an hour to set up, shoot, edit and post so I was rushed of my feet. I had to venture out of my house to the nearest road - and just as I started laying there, BEEP BEEP a car goes past. I carry on regardless - a woman walks past and asks me if I'm ok (maybe she meant mentally, i am wearing a FREAKING SHELL BRA). Then after 20minutes I get the shot I am satisfied with, and as I turn around my elderly neighbor is giving me the funniest look I've ever seen. So i go inside, and I'm greeted by a my entire family - flown in from all over the world. And I'm dressed in a shell bra. Never EVER again! :P

My sister is getting married tomorrow (!!!) so I may not have time to take a 365, I'm a bridesmaid so needed from 8am - 2am! ;)

Update: Edited crop to include my foot. really sorry if this messes up anyones notes!!

I just love this series. I love how these photos serve a purpose, and that you explain why they are important and come up with so many fitting, clever ideas for them. Aside from that, your editing is great because it's so dark and mysterious and even without the captions I'm sure people would be able to tell that there was a meaning to the photo and if they stared at it for a while might be able to figure it out. I admire that you come up with great ideas and then take the picture because it seems like so many people take photos that they think will look cool and then try to put a conceptual meaning to it just because everyone does that. Okay, I've been trying to explain why I like things lately, so forgive me if this doesn't make enough sense, I hope to get better at it... Um... specifically about this picture: I love that it looks at first like a fashion photograph or something and then you notice the pool of blood and the darkness in the corners seem violent and dark instead of fashion edgy or whatever. The pose is also great, it adds interest to the composition and all. great!

The more I look at this picture, the more the left foot crop is standing out. Perhaps the road acting like a frame all around the body, like a forensic shot, like a life-study... can you back up the camera a bit and get the whole body in?
