A girl in my silkscreen & book arts classes last semester printed a book edition dealing with a similar concept: the untold story of fairytale [so-called] "villains." I loved the idea of hearing the "bad guy" tell their side of the story.

Here, it may be even more intriguing as you're dealing with characters who are thought to be living "happily ever after."
Seriously, love love love it.
