This was my first computer; according to the serial number it's the fourth A3010 (at least of that series).

Unfortunately the CMOS battery time bomb had gone off, although it seems to have spent some time upside down, so most of the acid went onto the underside of the shielding. I was in the process of adding leads for the replacement after cleaning up the board, but the connectors for the keyboard are pretty badly corroded.

Powering back up the keyboard still seems unwell and it's reverted to a screen mode no LCD seems prepared to display! It did reach Supervisor previously though, so maybe if those keyboard connectors were replaced...

Sadly it looks like the cranes will be leaving their home by the side of Ontario Basin in the Quays someday soon. No word as yet whether they'll be refurbished and put on the M602 roundabout as planned, or just scrapped. :(

I must remember to stop liking things, as the things I like often seem to disappear.
