kinda abstract, but i was after the shapes and soft colors. late bloomers were next to our driveway, of all places.

strikingly, the sun was about to set, so the backdrop for the light hitting the buds gave a deep shadow which i found appealing (in morro bay, september of 2011)

A long rainy season opened a creek on the beach at Morro Bay, and now high tides come in to make a backwash area where all kinds of plants and creatures flourish. Looking into the setting sun, I was attracted by the blinding contrasts on these "oat" chaffs. I really don't know what kind of plants they were, but very plentiful.

just outside of Lassen, Alec and his dog Hazel, Kristann, and me in front of the falls. oddly, the pic looks as though we were sitting in front of a set in a studio.

this is a young tree, lighted by the same source as the fountain a few pics earlier. the rays cast by the leaves caught my attention for tihs photo, plus i liked the colors
