This is my aunt Kathy and her husband Paul, taken from a boat today on Lake Arthur at Moraine State Park in Pennsylvania.
The building in the background used to be a restaurant in the park and is where Kathy and Paul first met.
It was 1979. Kathy was 16 and worked at the restaurant. Paul was 20 and worked at one of the marinas in the park. They dated, and among their many dates that summer was baby-sitting newborn me.
At the end of the summer, as Paul puts it, "one of us got dumped, and it wasn't Kathy."
More than two decades passed. In 2000, Kathy Googled Paul, and found his e-mail address at his work. By this point, they had three marriages between them and lived 2000 miles apart. But they began e-mailing.
In 2003 they began "dating by phone."
In 2005 Paul and his son Kevin moved across the country from York, Pa., to Salt Lake City, Utah, to rent a house on Kathy's street.
They got married 7-7-07.
And they are one of those giddy, adorable in-love couples you just wanna hate, but have to love!
