The ligh brighs out the texture of the leaf very well

People used to eat the leaves and buds of the hawthorn tree. As a city dweller, I didn't get much chance to try it out, and these days I forget all about food when I see a good subject for my camera.

Thanks. I thought the leaf might be a distraction but it's turned out allright.

It's the Weißdorn or maybe it's the Hagedorn. Next I'm going for extension tube pub shots.

Thanks. They smell good, don't they? Unlike the midland hawthorn, whose flowers have the scent of death, which is not what you want when you're taking a macro shot.
