Very pretty. How did the DP1 hold up in the rain?

Well, I pretty much baby my DP1... I have a ziplog back always with me if it starts pooring, otherwise it is always with me in a small bag. I wipe it dry with a cloth ( I work in a cleanroom so I have fibre free clothes) and then return it quick under my coat... :)

Great shot!
Is that a little NFL? (negative fill light)

MisiekBunnik  Pro User  says:

@ britton, yes a bit of negative fill light, compensated by a bit of overexposure... spot metering was used (love the new zoom button settings, use it for metering mode).

.... and you are the third flickr friend who loaded up colours on dark background, yesterday :)
wau, ronald, that is simply beautiful - the dark background brings up the great colour of the plant and the droplets makes it even more interesting!

Thanks Lisi, well it must be the ....moon...? :)
or the weather is not that great, but if you look close enough there is sunshine everywhere!?
I like to be on the look-out for these things in my lunchbreak, I think as a contrast on working, being behind a desk all day?

This is a crop from the original, I do carry my camera always, but not always my close up set...

Beautiful photo Misiek. Good combo - your eye and the DP1. I agree about going out in the rain. I live in the Pacific Northwest, a part of the US where it rains a great deal. We live in it and do whatever we would normally do if it weren't raining.

Was this with your long awaited AML-1, or another closeup filter? The result is quite excellent, a fantastic use of NFL...

MisiekBunnik  Pro User  says:

@ Kendall: no, it is simply as it is out of the camera and then i cropped to 100% to achieve what I would have liked with my Tiffen close up set, or the the to be delivered yet, AML-1.
But, as you know, this is a joy with the DP1, simply use any part of the picture at full scale, the IQ is there everywhere... indeed, I find if I know my subject is the brightest in the area, I can later apply some Negative Fill Light, to put it even more into the foreground. Lovely feature!
