Katie finished her 365 today.

 

Katie, on december 27, 2009 I joined a tokbox chat and someone said “oh look it’s Rona Keller“. that someone was you and at the time I would never have thought that you would become such a good friend. we talked for a few hours that night and the next night and many more times since then. I think I went through your whole photostream two days after we started talking and I was amazed. you seemed to take the most amazing pictures without even making an effort. and when you did they were even more beautiful. I have looked at and thought about every picture you uploaded since then and your photostream is one of my favourites on flickr. and you are one of my favourite people on flickr. because I can talk to you. I told you so many things these past 6 months. I told you things I haven’t even told my real friends, at least not at the time. and you are always there. you cheered me up when I was sad and motivated me when I had so much stress. I know I can tell you everything even though it might be the biggest bullshit in the world. you listen and you write back and you are simply there.

I love how we started talking without any reason. we were just both there at the same time. I was here and you were there. I love that I got to know you better and that you became one of my friends. I am so excited to visit you in a month and four days. I am excited to talk to you in real life and take photos with you and spend time with you.

but first it is time to congratulate you. I am so proud of you for finishing your 365. I remember you saying you never cheated and I think that’s a great accomplishment. I envy you for taking so many amazing photos even though you were simply forced to sometimes. I really do.

you are such an inspiration, Katie Lionheart, and I am incredibly happy to know you. you are amazing and I mean that from the bottom of my heart.
