Last year I was allowed to shoot the marriage of one of my best friends. It was a tough descision to do or don't . All the horror stories of friendships gone bad, because of a failed wedding shoot. But they comforted me and I took the plunge. Looking back it was a fun day, with difficult lighting conditions.

Of course I have a long list of things I would do different, but am happy with the results

A friend of me celebrated his birthday, and we bought him a pre-order battlefield 3 game for his playstation. As a gift wrap I edited a DVD cover and made an armoured stroller with his kiddo ready for action.

The stroller is made from scratch, the backround and soldier (except his face) are original EA artwork.

Gee it has been a while, but finaly dragged my @ss from the screen looking at others to produce some myself.

It has been a while since last compositing an image and not fully happy with the outcome, but hey.. now there's room for improvement :P

The image:
Since the weather here in Holland isn't that summery and all, I needed some sunshine. So what's better than to pull some personal sun out of my magic pouch.

Strobist:
A bare bulb tungsten light as the sun.
a Canon 580EX at 1/64 with diy snoot behind model camera right for rim.

Things I'd like to change if i'd do this image again:
- put sunglasses on
- first find a nice background to blend in and then shoot accordingly

any comments, tips or suggestions? Please comment.

A day of sunshine after long days of rain. Living near Rotterdam but yet never shot a good skyline. Needed the skyline for an other picture but this one came out quite nicely so I'd better share it with you all :)
