A Skiff of Snow

I like the word "skiff," one I've grown up with to describe just a little bit of snow. We've gotten very little snow this winter, and I'm missing it. That gray line in the background is a railroad bed.

Took a break from the quilt to make a new checkbook cover to replace the old, torn and tattered plastic cover. This makes me happy! It's the small things in life sometimes...

I couldn't visit him on his birthday because I had a cold--wouldn't have been a good gift, and then yesterday I forgot to put the memory card back into the camera. Today I finally got one--even if I didn't get it straight!

Just an Idea...

#5 in the process--

...of what the lay-out might be, but I've got LOTS of sewing to do yet before I know how I want it laid out for sure. Trying to decide if I want to add plain white fabric in the mix, or maybe some pink or other colors. I'd like your opinion. I put it on the dining room floor so I could see it better from a distance--from the stairs.

#4 in the process--
After the "slicing and dicing," you turn the squares around so that none of the seams meet. It provides more interest and some "movement." Should I be keeping each group together or really mixing it up with all the other parts? Decisions-decisions!
