Hiatus

After much self-searching and internal debate, I have decided I must suspend my Project 365. It is not something I want to give up, but I have too many other things to focus on at the moment -- a new job (http://mediasauce.com), building a house (http://rogersbuild.com), and a side business that just launched its first product (http://magellanmedia.com). I need to devote as much energy as I can to these endeavors to do them well, and while I enjoy photography a great deal, coming up with a publishable photo every day was becoming a stressful chore to be squeezed in among all the other things I have to do, rather than a fun challenge.

I hate giving up. But sometimes things have to be prioritized. I hope to one day return to this project and pick up where I left off -- it won't be a photo every day for a year, but ultimately I will take 365 purpose-shot pictures and complete the full set.

To my circle of Flickr friends who have been so great over the past 147 days...thank you. Where else on the 'net can you find such a polite, encouraging group of people to comment on an evolving skill. I've learned a lot and I still plan on making the rounds to everyone's photostream every so often, when I can.

I'll still be posting photos every so often, just not a shot for every day. Take care!
