Coming in for a lot of criticism for its bulbous, light-hogging proportions, it looks like this one may end up on the 'detested towers' list along with Strata at Elephant & Castle and the Vauxhall Tower. Or perhaps it will grow on us... Designed by Rafael Viñoly and due to complete in 2014. City of London.

There are tenants waiting to move in, unlike a lot of the other skyscrappers going up in London just now this one is financed by a British company (canary wharf group) so the money is available whereas most of the others are dependant on international finance and it seems international groups are not so quick to stump up cash for towers going up in foreign cities?
