We went to a block party at a Shell station. I needed to refuel.
Come on, now. Where but New Orleans do they shut down the local gas station and start a block party selling hotdogs and hamburgers. They've got the pumps off so there are idiots like me taking pictures like this with lit cigarettes in their hands.
They are blaring 80's rock and have all the hoses from the car wash turned straight up to make a shower for people coming from Jazz Fest to cool down. Somebody brought a jumprope and all the drunks are trying their best at a game any kid can master.
