South shore of Oahu, from Waikiki to Black Point, August 2005. Check
out the high resolution size. The detail is amazing. A surprise for a
photo shot out of an airplane window.
In 1968 we moved to Honolulu and I learned to surf at Waikiki on an
old long board. This photo pretty much captures my surfing history.
After Waikiki, we moved first to Tonggs, then Queens/Publics, Hiltons
(just out of the picture to the far right), Kaikos/BlackPoint, and
Diamond Head/Cliffs.

Great shot for an airplane window shot too- well done! Lovely colour in the sea. I love the landing at Honolulu coming in over the water. :o)

Thanks More Altitude. I love the idea of looking down on the place you live (or lived). There is no place in this photo that I haven't passed by at some point in my life.
Where I live now, I look up at the Boston/Logan flight path, so I often get to see things from both points of view.
