Berkshire Afternoon (Kripalu Sunset # 1)

This is the first in a series of 52 sunset photographs. The place is the front lawn of the Kripalu Center in Western Massachusetts.
The hour and twenty minutes I spent taking the series was perfect.

Beautiful calm view!!
When I first visited Western Massachusetts, it was early March and still very cold. All of the lakes were covered with snow.
But the naked trees were beautiful, too.
I'd love to visit there again in a different season.

Thanks Georgie. This place is called "Shadowbrook" after the original country estate built there in 1893. The grounds were designed by Frederick Law Olmsted (famous American landscape/garden architect). More complete history is here

Thank you Ken. Hope you have had a chance to visit the Berkshires. After many years in Boston, this was my first time to this beautiful area of the state.
