is that rod?
No, Rod is behind the camera, watching the red man, the green man, and the yawning man.

Lor' bless you guvnor! (doff hat &c)

The truism about germans never crossing the road at a red man is built in from childhood. A friend living in Koln says that childen taunt him for crossing the road at importune times saying (something like) 'red runner! red runner!'.

I wonder whether the emphasis is on *not* going for the red or *only* going for the green.

By the looks of things it's all to difficult to comprehend.

Today I saw the UN and the Chrysler building and I thought of you.

She had a work thing there on Friday. So they made it a weekend. And he wandered around talking pictures. This is on Eberstrasse, Tiergarten on the right, Reichstag and the building site for the new US embassy behind.

Everyone was waiting politely for the green man in his hat (the Eastern German-style traffic lights in Mitte apparently survived the standardisation edict on the basis of historico-design interest) except the tourists.

Look! There's a man yawning.

Funnily enough we had the same conversation about Germans waiting for the green man after someone gave us an evil stare for crossing on Red, just outside the Reichstag this week!
