In Memory of Tigger Too: 1991-2008

Tigger Too, owned by David O'Connor, died today of an aortic rupture on course at Jersey Fresh. Rider Lauren Kieffer is OK. Tigger Too was 17 years old and a veteran of eventing, having competed at the highest level of the sport for many years.

My deepest condolences to the connections of this classy and talented horse.

What happened to Tigger Too? I read that he died after the jump. Broken legs? something else? Poor horse. He was 17 years old and still eventing at that level? wow. Well, if anyone knows what happened to him...

O my heart goes out to David and Karen and to Tigger's owners. All of them I know are heartbroken. My heart is heavy too as I had seen him compete a few times and he was a horse with tremendous heart. I am sure he died doing something he loved and would not have been happy as a pasture horse. If David had even expected something like this would happen, he would not haveallowed the horse to be ridden. I doubt it was broken bones.

I just read about this on TheHorse and remembered your pictures and figured you would have something on Tigger Too. You had a great opportunity to capture such a fine horse during this event, and you did an excellent job.
