• You can try to eliminate this bit of glare by manually holding a black sheet of paper or posterboard and adjust its position until the glare no longer shows up on the LCD screen of the camera. It works most of the time, but other times it's not possible. - Nannan Z.
  • I always like this effect - Nannan Z.
  • Good tip! I'll try it next time.
  • This fishing pole is so simple but the effect is fantastic! - Legohaulic
  • The half-stud offsets in here are great. - bruce n h
  • Wow! - kaitimar
  • Except that they are plate (or even half plate?) offsets, which is even more awesome! - nolnet
  • Why does nannon toot your horn so much? (Please don't answer, I dont want to know!) - Eggy Pop
  • Gorgeous details. - ElNickre
  • How's this gradual fading from white to light blue done? - SlyOwl
  • Huh? It's just SNOT plates. Maybe I don't get the question.

Waterfall house.

Domestic castle scenes are one of my favorite things. Even if it's not exciting, it's always satisfying to build these.

I love the colors in this one, especially the sand green/brown/gold window combo. The photography really showcases the colors well.

Love the waterfall and just about everything else! From the sand green, which is my favorite color, to the the bley- light bley ground color change, to the stairs and bridge!

    Intsa-fave!

    Best waterfall ever!

Great scene. The curves work really well in the waterfall and I don't think we see those sand green GG bricks used enough in "domestic castle scenes", as you call them.

Man, I can't get over how awesome the color variations with the slopes are. And - of course - the actual building is stunning.

I can't believe I'm actually critiquing one of your builds, but I think a brown bridge would have gone a little better with the surroundings than the tan one does. Just an idea...

That's the best waterfall I've seen in a long while.

Amazing. So clean and crisp-looking. Very well done once again, sir!

    Sexiest. Waterfall. Ever.
Also really loving the whole halftimbered section, and of course the stone is typical Rocko goodness. :3

I make complaint of the prefab bridge, though.

  17. tadashistate (47 months ago | reply)

    Amazing build once again Rocko.

I have to disagree with you Shadow Viking, I think it looks nice but I agree with JD Luse, it'd be nice in brown. Just a small nitpick on a great build.

I really like seeing non-castle medieval scenes...and you're the master of them.

I always love sand green, it's just so hard to use. It looks fantastic here!

  25. Uspez (47 months ago | reply)

Blissful scene! The cliff adds so much and the waterfall is stunning. Great house and colors, too much niceness to mention. The bridge is fine, it looks like a freshly built wooden bridge.

the waterfall is spectacular - you used just enough variation and layering to make it interesting but kept it still looking very smooth. Great details besides this, like the ridges in the tree trunks, seem to add a lot. The sand green house, though, is just awesomely beautiful, and the star of the moc.

i really like the effect of grooved sand green bricks beside the timbers. very nice work!

The colors in this are just about perfect, including the tan bridge--it distinguishes it from the wooden plank platforms and steps. It is just one of many things that give it a great sense of color depth and balance.

I want to go to there.

Yeah, building this kind of scene really makes me picky when looking for a house to buy. Nothing will ever satisfy me!

Fantastic work, the design of the structure is really impressive, I really like the stone facade backed by the wooden frame, great contrast. The landscaping is just as masterfully done, especially the waterfall, very simple but so very effective. Beautiful scene. But no adult content?

Have you ever built anything that is crap?? This is totally awesome. The waterfall is amazing and the use of colours work so well. You must have 10,000's of bricks.

    WOW... beautiful!

  40. TooMuchDew (47 months ago | reply)

Too many cool elements to pick a favorite: use of rope bridge, waterfall, sand green, timber balcony... all comes together just beautiful. Earlier today my 11 year old son saw this and asked if it was a new official set, then expressed disappointment when I had to tell him no. FAV'd.

I never usually liked castle creations, but this is simply too awesome to pass by - i saw it on TBB. everything is perfect - the fishing line, the dog crossing the bridge, the rocks in the water, the frog by the leaves, i'm speechless :P

but the best thing has to be that waterfall :D
