Lamason Cafe has taken over a previously dingy part of the car park building on Lombard Street. It's a gloriously concrete space, and inside the ceiling has the telltale slopes of ramps.

Bright red handrail

Bright red handrail

I love this style of handrail that seemed to be popular in the late '60s. My favourite bright red handrail was in the old Farmers store in Hamilton, and it's always a delight to discover a cheerful red handrail in what is usually an an otherwise dingy space. Points off for any handrails that were painted grey in the 2000s.

Zebra

Zebra

It looks like something was once removed from around the window, leaving a curious mottled texture in the concrete which has been highlighted by the paint job.

Ants

Ants

Looking down down from the Lombard Car Park, there was almost a bit of accidental tilt-shift happening. It doesn't quite look real.
